Initial contact was made with the Magdeburger Hoffnungsgemeinde (a parish in the city of Madeburg) as well as NJODINGO (an umbrella organisation for non-governmental organisations in the Njombe region) at the end of 2007. In February 2008, during a trip to Njombe, we had the opportunity to make direct contact with the Widow Group for the first time.

After an interesting exchange of ideas and principles, both sides expressed an interest in working together. Although the Widow's group has been in existence for some time, the group still finds itself at the building phase. The first individually produced pieces will soon be delivered to Germany, so that fundamental questions regarding the pattern, workmanship and quality can be answered.

As our work togther is still in the early stages, our contact person is Mr Alatanga Nyagawa, who is the leader of NJODINGO. Our work together will also be supervised by the Father of the Evangelical Parish in Njombe, Mr Mexon Mung'ong'o, and an aide of the Parish, Ms Rehema Rwaitama. The Widow Project is led by Mama Esnath.
