1.0.THE BACKGROUND /INTRODUCTION OF ORGANIZATION FORMATION / ASSOCIATION

Njombe District Non-Government Organization (NJODINGO) was established on the year 2003 as a non-governmental, non-profit making, non- religious organization. It was founded to serve as the District Umbrella NGO with the objective of developing the member organizations ie, NGOs, CBOs, FBOs and other organizations with aimed at bringing community development in terms of capacity building, creating linkages between organization and establishing good working relationship between NGOs, FBOs, CBOs and other organizations or associations, the District council and other development partners.

1.2.                     MAIN OBJECTIVES

·         To serve and to strengthen members of NGOs, CBOs, FBOs and other organizations /associations in the district.

·         Improve the networking with stake holders, difference governmental bodies, Donors, Media and society in general so as to make the NGOs sector in Njombe District influential Nationally and Internationally.

·         To prove NGOs, CBOs, FBOs and other Associations activities and their by create development platform for the NGOs, CBOs, FBOs members so that they can *** more member from the community.

·         To promote human rights and fight against corruptions

·         To co-operate with NGOs, CBOs, FBOs and other organizations / Associations in a country in bringing about community development and the world  in general.

·         To act as a coordinator between NGOs, CBOs, FBOs and other associations

1.6.                     MEETINGS OF THE ASSOCIATIONS

• General annual meeting – one per year (consist all members of NJODINGO)
• Board meeting
• An extra meeting (chairperson is responsible of arranging this kind of meeting if necessary)

1.7.                     ELECTION CONDITION

• One representative among the member of NJODINGO is allowed to stand for election in any leadership position.
• Election rules and procedures are controlled by the general meeting.
